Condition and information:
This is one of the rarest Silvexa pen sets made in the late 1960's. These are the only matte finished Silvexa pens. The pens are a rare sub-model of the Silvexa P428 /28 model lines, with matte finished bodies and stainless steel brushed cap and upper bodies, silver plated. The matte finish is difficult to capture on photos, it is very smooth with nice texture, feel perfect in the hand, and does not leave hand oil on the pens. The set is in absolute mint condition and comes in its original box. The Silvexa pens are renowned for their reliability and build quality. The Silvexa line together with the rolled gold lines were the high-end flagship pens of all M, MK and P series Pelikan pens, which were launched in the early 60's as a new modern, space era inspired pens. The fountain pen features a very rare and precise HEF nib 14K gold nib, but a white gold, so it fits the color theme of the silver plated cap. The HEF stands for Hard Extra Fine. This is a stiff nib, very difficult to damage, perfect long and demanding writing on any paper, as well as very precise with a constant very fine line, great for writing in notebooks, documents, or even technical drawing. It has a constant ink flow with no excess ink, very clean pen to write with. The ballpoint pen is "push upper body" with a precise deployment, very thought pen, very heavy with great feel in the hand. Same goes for the fountain pen, especially when the cap is posted (placed on top of the pen), since its heavy it makes the pen very easily to write with, with a great balance and feel. Both pens have the logo inlay located on the top. Fountain pen features a clear see through ink purple window. High-quality pens, great appeal, one of the best everyday reliable Pelikan pens.
