The offered here is a rare Imperial ballpoint pen, also referred  to as the Lady pen. It is entirely made out of solid 925 sterling silver, with a very fine intricate Barleycorn pattern, one of the best looking vintage Sheaffer pens we have seen. Being made entirely out of silver, makes for a nice heavy pen, providing great feel in the hand, with superb balance and handling. This pen features a unconventional Sheaffer patented on/off mechanism, where simply by pressing the clip down the pen turns on, and pressing the white dot on the top of the clip turns the pen off; a really unique and easy way to trigger the pen on or off. This also means the pen cannot be hanged into a pocket unless its turned off, thus preventing ink stains in the pocket. This Imperial also features a spring loaded clip, which will hold firmly and securely over any pocket fabric. The pen uses standard Sheaffer refills, a new one is provided with the pen. The pen is in mint condition with minimal signs of use.
