This is a very rare Diplomat pen made by Merz & Krell company, company famous for manufacturing pens and parts for many European pen companies. They even made entire pen lines for Pelikan such as the 120 model type II and the rare 400NN Merz & Krell model. This company had many brands under its name, including Senator, Diplomat and others. The pen offered here is in mint condition, perfectly preserved. The nib is sold 14K gold, very precise and smooth on the paper. Very clean writer perfect for writing in notebooks and small typeface writing. Very easy to operate, smooth piston and nice ink windows. Front section is easily removable simply by unscrewing, great for cleaning the pen. The pen is highly ergonomic but with perfect length and thickness, very good grip and feel in the hand. This is a typical Diplomat Merz & Krell design, perfection in simplicity, reliability and quality, providing great writing experience.
