This is the last of the legendary Pelikan 120 line (Type III), lunched in 1977-78. This is also the longest produced pen in the Pelikan's history, produced for over 30 years, and the only one which was preceded by two other models baring the same insignia "120", type I and II. This is not a coincidence, the 120 Model was one of the pillars of the company. This pen closely resembles the MK line on which is based on, and it has it's signature features, such as air tight cap and feeding system which make the pen airplane safe. The nib rare stunning 18K solid gold is HEF size, standing for Hard Extra Fine. These are one of the most precise nibs one could hope to write it, always producing a super sharp extra fine line. H hard stand for just that, hard meaning non bending and not soft. These nibs were also used to make a precise documents copies. However, today they are used for precision writing, very clean with no excess ink, great for small typeface letters and writing in notebooks. The pen is made out of black resin, unlike other materials the resin always shines and its more difficult to damage or crack. Piston is smooth and one of the best piston systems invented by Pelikan, consisting of 8 parts. This series are very reliable, the pen works and writes perfectly. The third series follows the modern age of elongated and thinner pens, unlike its predecessors with shorter but thicker bodies. Logo located on top of the cap. This is the most rare of the three series as it was produces for only few years. The pen is in absolute mint never used condition, perfectly clean and shiny, no scratches and no cracks.
