Condition and information:
Montblanc model 784 is a sub model of the 780 line. This line was launched in the early 1980, and was the very new minimalist inspired design at the time. This pen draws its roots in the famous Montblanc lever mechanism pens from the 60's. This version was the high-end version with gold filled metal parts. The Montblanc patented mechanism, also known as the "11th finger mechanism", is a special design where a lever is located under the clip thus when the pen is hanged into a pocket, the pocket's fabric sliding under the clip will push the lever and turn the pen off. This was very clever and very convenient feature which made sure the hanged pen will always turn it self off and prevent incidental ink stains on the fabric. It is also very precise mechanism easy and fast to deploy. The pen is in mint condition no scratches, no dings, no cracks, no gold ware off, with minimal signs of use. The front section is thick gold filled, as well as the clip. The front section gives the pen a unique grip and weigh, thus providing a great balance and feel in the hand. The pen is entirely brushed finished, which gives it a very special looks, good grip and but also always spotless as no hand oil stays on the brushed surface. Montblanc signature logo located on the top. The original Montblanc refill is included with the pen, but it can be used with any standard or giant refills.
