Condition and information:
Offered here is a rare Parker 75, made by the French Parker factory, somewhere between 1980 and 1995. The pen is intriguing since it features the flat-cap top style, which was phased out by the Parker USA plant in 1970. This was done in order to make a small depression in the crown (cap-top) in order for a company logos to be placed on the pens easily when commissioned for marketing. However we are not sure why the flat-top style persisted in France and to what year. There are non flat-top pens made by the French plant too. By the style and craftsmanship of the pen, it is likely the pen was made in the 80 or even 90s. In any case, it is a masterpiece work and one of the most beautiful Parker 75s we have ever offered, with deep and wide Godron pattern and stunning reflections.

The Parker 75 is probably one of the most famous pens in the world. Since its introduction in the 1960s, more than 11 million Parker 75 made and sold. It was one of Parker's most successful pens. It was discontinued in 1994. The pen here made by the French plant, features all the little tweaks and upgrades the from its predecessors as the pen evolved. It has the triangular grip section and a gold filled ring band on the tip of the grip section, unlike the previous models which has a wider chromed band which was prone to corrosion. The pen offered here has the stunning Godron texture with deep lines spanning from top to bottom, giving the pen some amazing reflections. It is 20 microns gold plated, which is very thick gold plate as usually only 5 microns is considered a good gold plating coat. Therefore with 20 microns gold plating, gold wear off is very unlikely to ever occur.

The pen feels solid, heavy, with perfect balance while writing posted or not. The 75 form factor is probably one of the best in the world, combining new and modern, after all this form factor was in production for more than 30 years, and that makes it one of the longest running pen series in the world. Very precise cap on body fit, with a deep cap pull and a prefect clean "click" sound when closing. The nib is solid 18K gold Medium to B broad, does not scratch the paper, it is smooth with a nice wide lines. Since the tip is broad, one can achieve some line variation by simply adjusting the angle while writing. Since the cap is nearly air-tight, the nib will stay wet even if the pen is not used for several days, thus ready to write on the first attempt. The pen also comes with its original Aerometric bladder converter, but it can be used with any Parker ink cartridges. Very easily removable grip section, easy to open and clean/maintain the pen. Designed by Kenneth Parker (son of the founder George Parker) and the designer Don Doman, the 75 embodies everything a pen should stand for, stunning looks, superb build quality, performance, ease of use and many more factors which make for a remarkable writing instrument.  The Parker 75 model is probably one of the most famous and reliable pens ever made, not just by Parker, but among all brands. The pen here comes in absolute mint condition, without any mark on it, perfect cosmetic and functional condition
