This stunning rare Ferrari da Varese pen/pencil combo was manufactured in Italy. The weight of the pen is notable and is entirely made of 925 solid sterling silver. The superior build quality makes for a strong durable pen with a solid, heavy superbly balanced while writing. The pen is very long and heavy, oversize at 140mm giving it a great grip and feel in the hand while writing. The pen is refillable with short metal ballpoint pen refills and the pencil use 0.5 lead sticks. Switching from pen to pencil is easy- rotate the on/off mechanism to reveal the pen and twist the other way to reveal the pencil. This pen would be great for note-taking, especially in STEM fields as you can easily switch from an erasable medium to something more permanent. The gorgeous engravings on the edge of the cap says ‘Ferrari da Varese’ in gorgeous script. The Guilloche lines run the entire length of the cap and body slimming the pen and making it easier to hold. In mint condition, it has a custom inscription of ‘Neo 2005” on the side.
