Waterman L'Étalon is a rare beauty. L'Étalon is considered by many as one of the best modern Waterman pens, both in design and construction. Launched in the early 1990s the L'Elaton (French), meaning "Stallion" in English, was one of the best pens Waterman made for over a decade.
The pen here is the top of the line, luxury version of the L'Etalon, made out of solid 925 sterling silver, with gold plated trimmings and a unique Basketweave guilloche pattern. The pattern has a unique appeal as it seems it had been cast rather than engraved. This makes the pattern substantially more pronounced, "deeper" in a sense, and quite obvious and tangible.
The pen is heavy, over 40 gr. and thus provides a great feeling in the hand, gliding while writing.
The "925" stamps are located on both the upper and lower section of the pen. "Waterman Paris France" inscribed on the gold plated midsection band, as well as hexagonal black lacquer/enamel filling on the band. 
The pen features a smooth mid-body twist on/off mechanism.

The pen is in mint condition, with minimal signs of use, but no scratches or dings.
It comes with its original refill, as well as a new replacement refill, ready to be used.
