Stunning and rare Waterman EXPERT set made in France with a Lapis Lazuli blue lacquer finish. These pens are first production, and out of the line, special edition Expert models. There are few variations of this model, but these is probably the rarest and most beautiful of them all. The pens are stunning, extremely high shine, very beautiful appeal with marble lapis lazuli blue color. Both pens are oversize, the ballpoint is very large pen at 140mm, and the fountain pen is at 143 and 155 when posted. Both pens feel heavy, firmly fitting in the hand, and their weight makes them slide over the paper effortlessly. This is due to a very thick steel walls of the pens, which means this set was made to last. These truly engineered pens with superb writing balance and grip. The ballpoint pen is a twist on/off mechanism which is extremely smooth and responsive. The fountain pen is a slip-on cap, with a distinct click when closing or posting the cap. All trimmings are very thick gold plate; clip, rings, front and rear tip of the pen, and give luxury appeal. The lacquer finish is also very thick, which protects the pens from scratches. The fountain pen uses standard or double size Waterman cartridges (a set is included with the box) or it can be used with a converter. The ballpoint pen is fitted with its original ballpoint pen refill, and it's ready to be used. This model od Waterman can also take rollerball refills, so just by replacing the refill you can have two different types of the same pen.
