This Parker 180 was launched in 1979 together with its same lacquer Woodgrain finish Parker 75, by Parker France. This is the first series of the 180 which features the 14K solid gold nib, as opposed to the steel gold plated ones introduced in 1986.

The 180 nib is unique, it features two nib sizes on each face of the nib, however on this particular pen, it was grind with only one nib size, i.e. both sides are F fine size. The pen is finished in a beautiful Woodgrain lacquer (some refer to it as Thuya, but this is incorrect, as the Thuya model was introduced later).

The nib is  super sharp with a unique look and form factor. The nib is flat but more protected on this pen, with an additional metal and plastic insert. The size is F fine, and it is great for precision or small typeface letter writing, such as writing in a pocket notebook. The pen can use Parker cartridges or a converter, we will include a free piston converter so you can use the pen right out of the box filling it from bottled ink and a set of Parker cartridges. It is very easy to use this pen on a daily basis, easy to maintain and clean, and disassemble. Even the nib unit is simple to disassemble and clean, simply by pulling it out, it comes off with the nib and feeds as one unit. All trimmings are 24K gold plated. The pen is in good condition with some signs of use, there is one lacquer chip close to the caps tassy, but it's not compromising to the overall condition, shiny, clean, without scratches and comes in its original box.
