Condition and information:
One of the most famous Kaweco pen lines, Sport mini pocket size pens sets, 16V and 619. The set here is a very rare version, original from the factory including the premium fountain pen v16, but as opposed to one ballpoint 619 pen, it has two 619 pens where one has a blue push button and the other a red one. This is also indicated on the box in which they were sold V16EF/619/619. Since most of these pens came in black resin, and in specific lines of work where the user would need to know which color the refill inside of the pen is, Kaweco offered a solution by making different colors push buttons which were installed on these pens, hence making it easy for the user to grab the pen he/she needed with a particular color refill inside it. This was also done on some fountain pens, for example if the user always filled the pen with a green ink, they could have a green captop installed on their fountain pen. These push buttons also came in black and green colors, and possibly other colors too.

The pens are 12 sided (dodecagons), which makes for a nice light reflections. These were also widely sold and marketed during the Munich Olympics in 1972, and they were the signature writing instrument of the Olympics, with Kaweco adds running everywhere during the event. The pens are in absolute mint NOS new old stock condition, no cosmetic or functional defects what so ever, 100% originally preserved in their original genuine leather pocket pouch and even the carton presentation box they were sold in at the time.

The fountain pen has an EF size nib, very soft as the nib flexes constantly but the tines do not separate by much. Therefore it will write with ease up to Medium with a gentle push, but always feels soft when writing. It feels very smooth on the paper and it does not skip. Piston works perfectly, clear see through ink window. All pens have gold plated trimmings and gold plated logos located on top of the cap and push button, crisp imprints. The Ballpoint pens feature a Kaweco designed and patented steel micro ball guided mechanism, which is extremely precise, reliable and easy to use. Even though short, the pens have a a nice grip and feel as they are thick, however the fountain pen with the cap posted is as any normal pen, has a great balance and feel since the cap is quite long. This format with a very long cap was first introduced by Kaweco in the early 1930s, and it was later replicated by many manufacturers. All in all an amazing design and superb quality vintage pens from Kaweco, the original Sport series, pens that will fit in any pocket and always perform admirably.
