One of the all time best Senator multi-color ballpoint pens, the 4 Action pen. Famous for its superb build quality, operation performance and reliability, identical and even surpassing the Rotring Quatro pen. Very complex mechanism that harbors 4 different slots which are deployed by the so called "gyro" mechanism, which is very precise and convenient to use. The refills are deployed by the top push button, and are retracted by pressing the button on the clip. The pen is fitted with its original black and red color ballpoint refills, the 0.7mm mechanical pencil, and a highlighter refill. Any of these 3 ballpoint refills or the mechanical pencil can be replaced with a data tip refill, widely available and great for using on tablets, phones and other devices. This model was discontinued almost a decade ago, but is still one of the most sought among engineers and collectors. The pen is made out thick steel anodized with a shiny lacquer like finish and very heavy and much thicker matte finished grip section. This section gives the pen an unmatched balance, heavy and precise feel in the hand. Super high-quality writing instrument. The pen is in mint condition and perfectly functional.
