The Sheaffer TRZ was a line of slim pens that first got a clip redesign in around 1989 and later on in 1992 the line name was changed into Fashion. The Sheaffer Slim Fashion pens had more straightened clips and the black plastic caps that the earlier TRZ models had were replaced with metal ones. There was also a range of clip-less Fashion pens that was called “In- Fashion” in the mid 80’s and early ’90s which deferred from the slim Fashion pens only by the clip. In 1993 a wider profile of pens was made for the Fashion line and the thinner profile pens were staged out. Pen offered here is a Sheaffer Fashion 240x-1 model with a simple yet very elegant form.
The pen is crafted in brushed steel, trimmed with gold plated details. The clip is decorated with the recognizable Sheaffer white dot and nice crisp inscriptions that read “Sheaffer” and “USA”. Due to the nice polished finish, it gives out nice reflections, and the brushed surface does not show fingerprints. The solid steel body creates a sturdy but yet beautiful pen with great appeal and performance.

The nearly perfect ergonomic design and substantial weight of the pen provide for great balance and feel in the hand. The pen features a slip-on cap which can be posed in order to give the pen a longer length and provide comfort while writing. Posting the cap makes the pen 152mm long which is oversize in comparison to other average pens when posted.
The pen uses Sheaffer rollerball refills with quality and long-lasting ink. The original refill is included with the pen although it may be depleted soon it can be used for future purchase reference.
