Condition/Info for this particular pen:
The first piston filling technical drawing pen, the Tintenkuli line by Rotring, later known as rapidograph by Rotring. This pen is one of their original first models. Amazing build quality and ergonomics, this pen set the standards which even today are hard to surpass. Famous for their reliability and simplicity of use, still are the preferred technical drawing instruments by many engineers and architects. Unlike the new models these are piston filling so no messy filling tubes; simple twisting turning knob action for filling the pen with ink from bottled ink. The pen features a completely clear large ink window which will change the color to whatever ink is being used, simply amazing looks. The pen is in absolute mint condition, NOS, impossible to find in such condition, perfectly preserved. The needle size was not marked on these early models, rather it was referred as Fine, by today's standards is approximately 0.5-0.8mm. The piston is smooth and perfectly functional, takes considerable amount of ink and its fitted with the original double seal silicone cork.  Gold plated clip and ring. Very ergonomic size and weight, fees great in the hand. Easy to disassemble piston section and needle, for easy trouble free cleaning and maintenance.
