Waterman L'Étalon is a rare beauty. L'Étalon is considered by many pen lovers as one of the best modern Waterman pens, both in design and construction. It features a pure and harmonious design, with a uniquely rich appearance with its stunning 23K gold plated mid and tip sections and its clip and crown. The red burgundy lacquer just tops everything off giving it a beautiful deep luster. The hexagon insert on the band in matching color is also lacquer and it represents just the outline of the modern Waterman logo W which is enclosed in a hexagon. These are very large pens, very heavy, feel super solid in the hand and give that rich feeling while writing. Even putting them on the desk makes a loud sound as they are that heavy. At full 140mm these are made to stand out. Both pens feature a smooth mid-body twist on/off mechanism. All trimmings are 23.3K gold plated; clip, rings, front and rear tips & crowns.
The lacquer finish is thick, protects the pens from scratches, and shines. The pencil uses 0.5mm leads, while the ballpoint standard Waterman refills (a new one is included with the pen).

Both pens are in absolute mint condition, with minimal to no signs of use, no scratches. The set does not come in its original presentation box, but a standard Waterman presentation box will be included.
