This is the original first series, all time classic pen, the Townsend model, made in the mid 1990's. The pen is in absolute mint condition, never used. Pictures do not do justice to the pen's appearance, it is difficult to capture in photos due to the extremely high reflections, the pen simply shines. The pen is superb in any way, it has a perfect feel and balance in the hand. Super smooth on the paper, simply writes and nib glides effortlessly. The pen is made out of solid steel and with a very very nice chrome finish, all trimmings are gold plated. This makes the pen extremely heavy, giving it amazing solid firm feel in the hand and balance. The pen will glide over the paper without any pressure from the hand, making writing feel completely effortless. The body and cap have nice guilloche lines from top to bottom giving it an astonishing look. The pen features a solid steel F fine size gold plated nib, which will write constant fine size, and its simply great clean writer, no excess ink. This is s clean writer, perfect for nice easily readable handwriting or smaller typeface, like pocket notebooks and so on. The pen comes with its original piston converter but it can also take standard Cross cartridges. This converter is slightly bigger then the standard international converters, so it takes much more ink. Its also a beautiful light blue color. This is definitely one of the best pens for every day use, it is super easy to maintain, clean, it is scratch and damage proof, simple to use, with superb build quality and elegant timeless design.
