Condition and information:
The pen offered here is the highest class Kaweco pen at the time, to rival Montblanc's Masterpiece's models. The design of the V line is unique, with two separate body widths, giving the pen great grip, handling, balance and feel in the hand. The build quality is astonishing, its entirely made out of black resin, the signature material of Montblanc that gives the pen a unique shine. The pen design is stunning. The design incorporates the modern 60s era, with sharp edges and clean forms. Some unique features are the double cap ring which prevents crack on the cap and also the unique turning knob ring which has the same function. All trimmings are gold filled, so gold ware off is unlikely. In these Kaweco models, "V" stands for hooded nib, and if there is a "P", that stands for cartridge and the "S" stands for steel cap. However the V61&71 as offered here, were the flagship pens of this line and though similar to the Kaweco 36 & 37 models, these were with exposed nibs. The nib is super smooth EF size, a true joy to write with. Not often seen in such nibs, it has a full flexibility, the tines to split apart when writing with little to no pressure applied; it will write up to BB double broad effortlessly. This will produce some wonderful writing, with contact line variation on every stroke. The piston works easy and takes decent amount of ink, so once filled it will last for a month or more. Silicone cork ensures no leakage. The pen is in absolute mint condition, there are no cosmetic or functional defects whatsoever, 100% originally preserved. The pen is reliable and easy to use, with unique design and appeal, simply one of the best Kaweco pens all time.
