Condition and information:
Made in the mid to late 60s, 1965-1969, this is one of the first Montblanc Pix pencils made of out of Precious Black Resin, the signature Montblanc material. This black resin is a specially tempered plastic resin which gives the pen a unique shine and gloss but also a tough protection, as this material is hard to scratch or damage. Pens made out of black resin will always shine like new and are highly reflective. This pencil model is based on the often found model 26, however this is a different more rare sub-model baring the model number 36. The mechanism is push button repeater, flawless, extremely precise with a distinct "click" sound when activated, and with very precise clicks and lead deployment. The mechanism is entirely made out of brass and steel, it was made to endure work for decades; the build quality is amazing. The pencil is a modern design, elongated, it is heavy due to the steel mechanism, thus it has a great grip and feel in the hand, very ergonomic. The reservoir can take up to 15 1.18mm leads, and with a lead of this diameter it could be extended as much as 3-4mm in front of the tip, thus it will provide an great viewing space. These pencils are simply one of the best pencils ever made by Montblanc and are still hard to match today.
