While the Parker 75 model was leaving the stage as being the company's bestseller it was time for a new model that would have even greater success in the 90s. Having that in mind the Parker company commissioned Hollington Associates from London and the chief designer Geoff Hollington designed the Insignia and Sonnet lines for them.
The Sonnet line was marketed as a line with precision-crafted, high-performance writing instruments based on an ergonomic design.
Pen offered here is a 90’s vintage Parker Sonnet ballpoint which unlike the newer models with the wideband this one features a tinner ring on the midsection and these models usually feature inscriptions located on the upper body.
This pen has a justified place in this collection with its beautiful design, good quality materials, and great performance built to last.
The clip is shaped in the recognizable Parker Company emblem, the arrow.
The pen is crafted in shiny thick lacquer with gold plated trimmings which combined together contribute to an elegant yet sturdy pen. It follows a classic, simple yet powerful form.

The pen uses a seamless twist on/off mid-body mechanism which is precise with a solid lock.
It uses Parker ballpoint refill and the original one is included in blue color which is still writing so the pen is ready to be used right away.
The pen is heavy, and this contributes to its good balance and great feel in the hand while writing.
