Listed here is a Calligraph 2.3 fountain pen by the renowned pen manufacturer Reform which was the biggest pen manufacturer in Germany at the time, producing millions of pens per year.
The pen is crafted in high-quality black resin which not only gives great shine but it also protects the pen from scratches making it always shine like new. The contrasting combination of shiny cast black resin and polished gold plated parts give the pen an elegant style and great appeal.
The pen features a screw-on/off cap which contains a seal and has the function of protecting the ink from drying out.

The pen features a nicely made 2,3 mm nib crafted in stainless steel and covered in gold plate. The nib contains two vent holes and features nice crisp imprints with the size of the nib, “Italic” “Reform” and “W. Germany.” Pens made from the 1970s to the late 1980s were marked with “W.Germany”, while post-1989 (with the unification of Germany), were marked with “Germany” imprints.
This pen is a piston filler which means that no cartridges or converters will be required, the pen can simply be filled from an ink bottle all the user has to do is to turn the piston forward, dip the pen in the ink bottle, and when they are done turn the piston in the initial position. The piston of this pen is smooth with silicone cork which always makes for a perfect fit within the body and will never leak.
The clear ink windows are a great feature since the user can always know when they are running low on ink and they can have long writing sessions with no surprises. One of the many uses of this pen is for watercolor landscape artwork. This pen is simply superb for ink drawings.
This calligraphy pen lays down a good wet line and produces good texture. With a downstroke, the pen will produce a thick line and with a sidestroke, the pen will produce a thin line.
The pen is very easy to clean and maintain since the whole nib section can be pulled out and simply cleaned with water, this feature can also be used if the user wants to replace the nib.
The ergonomically shaped body provides for a comfortable and easy grip and tireless feel in the hand which makes it perfect for long periods of writing.
