Condition and information:
The original first series Montblanc pens made out of precious black resin. These models were the start of the new 60's era, unlike the 2XX and 3XX series, these pens were modernized, elongated, with sharp edges, and with focus on reliability and design. The fountain pen is also one of the first with enclosed wing nib in special leak proof tube which made it airplane safe with no leaks in air pressure differences. The Precious Black Resin, the signature Montblanc material gives the pens a unique shine and gloss but also a protection, as this material is hard to scratch or damage. The nib is semi-flexible, with a gentle push it will write up to M medium size and produce variety of styles. The piston is smooth and takes a considerable amount of ink. The pencil has a solid steel and brass mechanism, very heavy with a perfect grip, feel and balance in the hand, very precise push button mechanism. The set is in absolute new old stock, never used condition. Both pens are very easy to use, clean and maintain. Stunning black and gold combination with timeless looks and appeal. The signature Montblanc star located on the cap and top of the fountain pen and pencil. The set comes in the original presentation box, and also carton box with the factory stamp. A perfect Montblanc pen set, amazing build quality, design and appeal.
