Condition and information:
These are the flagship pens of the MK line, late 60s and early 70s production, the M30 & R30 Rolled Gold models. Unlike gold plate, the rolled gold will never wear off, it is meant to last. This model stands out both in quality, materials and appeal. The pens are in a time capsule - NOS new old stock, never used condition, and come in their original Pelikan leather pouch.

Both pens are made out of shiny black resin. The fountain pen features a so called "Airplane safe" piston. These MK pistons were the peak of piston technology by Pelikan. The piston and feed system in this pen have around 8 parts, unlike the old pistons made out of 3-4 moving parts. This was meant to keep the ink always in place, also to be able to be used in different pressure variations like airplanes and so on, and they were marketed as "Airplane Safe Fountain Pens". The mechanical pencil is highest quality even by today's standards, hard to match pen both in style and endurance.  It has a push "upper body" mechanism. The lower body is tick black resin, well balanced with perfect grip and ease of use. It uses 1.18mm leads, and comes with several leads included. All in all, one of the best Pelikan pen sets in amazing find, pure NOS condition.
