Offered here is a very unique and rare pen set made by the German company Bolascrip in the early 1960's. Bolascrip was a writing instruments company founded in the early 1930s and they produced some amazing writing instruments, mainly high-end but aimed for export.

This must be one of the most beautiful, most unique pen sets, not just from Bolascrip, but from the European manufacturers from this time. The fountain pen features a unique function, where the entire solid silver body is actually the blind cap for the piston turning knob. The pens feature amazing craftsmanship with a unique guilloche pattern. Made out of 835 sterling silver which gives it amazing shine, great looks and appeal, but this also makes it very strong, heavy providing superb balance, feel and writing experience. The fountain pen's nib simply feels as a paint brush, the tines of the nib split apart as soon as it touches the paper. It is a rare, B broad, but super flexible and it will write up to triple broad or even wider with the slightest push. Broad nib also produce thinner lines when the strokes are horizontal, so this pen can produce astonishing line variations, from fine to triple broad, simply amazing to use, writing with this nib is simply remarkable. The nib is suspended over an ebonite feed with a great and consistent ink flow. Writing with this pen will take some time getting used to, it is not like ordinary fountain pen, the nib is soft and requires gentle and smooth handling and writing. Another amazing feature is the large elongated ink window with spiral lines, it is rare sight. We've seen an identical ink window on a very rare Merz and Krell Snake Skin fountain pen, so its very likely that the body of this pen was made by Merz & Krell and the silver overlay cast by Bolascrip. Obviously a lot of handcrafting work had gone in to the production of these pens. The pen is highly ergonomic, perfect length and thickness, black crown jewels on both pens. Very good grip and feel in the hand. Extremely well build, simply very beautiful and unique pens with amazing writing experience. The set is in absolute NOS condition, never used, comes in its original presentation box.
