This is the second generation of the Noblesse series made in late 1970s and early 80s, also called the Slimline pen due to its simple and classic form factor. The Noblesse pens are some of the most reliable Montblanc pens ever build, easy to use and handle with great feel and balance in the hand due to the weight. This Montblanc Noblesse Oblige pencil is made out of thick, high grade steel components and brass body, finished with thick gold plate, as well as deep guilloche lines along the whole body, known as Godron pattern. These are so well build, they are nearly impossible to damage, they are considered a true generational pens/pencils, meant to last, it is virtually impossible to damage, ding, scratch or break, even if dropped. The pencil features the distinct "click" sound when pushing the knob. It deploys the refills with precision. A more uncommon Montblanc star logo is located on top of the knob, black star on white background. These are also one of the biggest Montblanc pencils at over 140mm, slim and elongated. The pencil uses 0.5mm leads, 5 leads are included. The pen is in mint condition with minimal signs of use and it features a personal engraved name on the side plate. The name "Noblesse" comes from French: Noblesse Oblige - "Nobility Obliges".
