This is the famous Diplomat Attache pen made in the late 1980's, with a very unique color design. This model was designed to follow the Montblanc Noblesse Oblige form factor with a modern design and fast slip on/off cap. The pen is a superb build quality, solid stainless steel, very heavy and with a perfect manufacturing precision made in Germany. The pen features a unique beautiful splash-spray yellow and blue over a gray metallic paint and lacquer overlay finish, which is a perfect scratch protective cover and a unique shine and appeal. All trimmings are thick gold plate. The pen is very heavy, with a great grip, feel and balance, which makes for a wonderful writing experience. "Diplomat Germany" inscribed at the top of the gold plated clip. The unique large surface flat-top cap can make the pen stand firmly vertically at the desk. The nib is solid steel, two tone finished gold plate, very smooth M size nib, writes perfectly without scratching the paper. The pen is very easy to use and maintain. It can be completely dissembled and cleaned. Easy to fill with cartridge or piston converter. The pen is NOS, new old stock never used.
