A special oversize Diplomat pen, at full 140mm one of the biggest pens with this form factor. The pen was made in the late 1980's, and these were designed to follow the Montblanc Noblesse Oblige form factor with a modern design and fast slip on/off cap. The pen is a superb build quality, solid stainless steel, very heavy and with a perfect manufacturing precision. The weight gives the pen a very unique feel in the hand, writing balance even if the pen is not posted. The pen features a unique looking vintage appeal green metallic lacquer overlay finish, which is a perfect scratch protective and also give the pen a unique shine and appeal. All other parts are thick all over gold plate. The pen is very heavy, with a great grip, feel and balance, which makes for a wonderful writing experience. The nib is solid steel, two tone finished gold plate, very smooth M size nib, with iridium tip which will not allow for the nib to ware off even after decades of use, writes perfectly without scratching the paper. The pen is in absolute NOS, new old stock, never used. A truly beautiful and unique writing instrument made by Diplomat in Germany.
