The Insignia line was introduced in 1991 and was marketed for offering precision-crafted, high-performance writing instruments based on an ergonomic design. This mechanical pencil was designed and sold in pair together with the legendary original Insignia model ballpoint pen with a Diamonite G. design.
The pencil is crafted in 14K gold plated body with beautiful guilloche design with batches of lines along the length of the pencil.
The clip is made in the recognizable arrow shape which is Parker’s trademark representing their pioneering attitude, heritage, and rich history. The ring on the midsection features nice crisp engravings with the Parker branding name, logo and “Made in U.S.A”. 
The Parker company uses date codes to mark their writing instruments. This pencil, in particular, has an U date code engraved on it which means that it dates back from 1991.

The pencil features a hidden eraser which can be found by pulling the upper part of the pencil. The fine tip of the pencil is retractable which protects it from getting damaged.

The pencil takes 0.5mm leads which can be extended through the precise push mechanism.
The pencil is very well balanced, with a perfect grip and easy to use. It is crafted in the highest quality even by today’s standards.
