Condition and information:
The Waterman pen company, established in 1884 in New York City by Lewis Edson Waterman, it is one of the few remaining first-generation fountain pen companies, as Waterman S.A. Many vintage pens are still in use today, and their nibs are prized for their smoothness and flexibility.

Waterman Philéas is a series of writing instruments including fountain pens, rollerballs, ballpoints and pencils. It is well-known because of its good price-quality ratio and is therefore often recommended for fountain pen users and collectors. This series is now discontinued, but due to this model popularity, its currently still available on specialized websites. The pen is named after the character Phileas Fogg in Around the World in Eighty Days by the French novelist Jules Verne. This unique design reflects an Art Deco look of the 1930s. The red is a nice deep, almost burgundy, red with black swirls stirred in. There are gold-colored trim rings that separate the black pieces from the red marble. The nib is a two-tone stainless steel gold plated, M medium size and is buttery smooth and is decorated with an Art Deco style. The pen has 17 grams body and 7 grams cap, which means it is fairly heavy pen at 24g when posted, with large diameter. It's nicely balanced, and is exceptionally comfortable with the cap posted or unposted. The writing is smooth, very precisely and there are no hesitation, skipping, and streaking. It takes standard international Waterman cartridges or you can simply refilled it from a bottle of ink with a standard converter. These are some of the most reliable Waterman pens, great everyday users, high quality build and difficult to damage even if dropped. The pen is very thick, the plastic is at least 1.5mm thick and has a brass cylinder inside to provide balance and strength, and the gold plated stainless steel trimmings are placed just on the right places to make the pen as tough as possible and impossible to crack. The pen also features a spring loaded clip, where unlike other clips that just bend, this one does not, rather the clip is suspended on a spring inside that cap that allows the clip to move up and down. Mint condition, with minimal to no signs of use, no dings or cracks of any kind or other cosmetic issues. A perfect everyday pen.
