Condition and information:
This is one of the most collected Waterman's of all times, the red ripple pen No.7, and here in a its most rare version, a custom order one of the kind pen. This is a special No.7, made in mid to late 1920's, and probably made for the famous Canadian athlete Mr. Frederick Noseworthy, the pen bares the "F. Noseworthy" inscription on the side of the barrel. The differences between this one and the regular No.7 are obvious. Most notably the clip is different shape and unlike the pinned clips, this one is attached from within the cap. Also the cap ribbon is thin white line unlike all No.7 with colored rings cap. Most notably the pen has a flexible nib "yellow" which is usually not the case. The pen is in perfect condition, no dings, cracks, or scratches perfectly preserved and functional. We have fitted the pen with a new latex sac and its ready to be used. No loose parts, lever functions perfectly, all original parts, the pen had never been tampered with, never had a part change. The nib ultra flexible where the tines split apart as soon as it touches the paper. The tines go 2-3 mm apart when writing, with little to no pressure. This nib produces some extraordinary writing, form F, M, B, BB, BBB and even wider. One of the nib's tines has a small line ding, but its not compromising to the pen's performance or structure. The feed is extremely long, made from ebonite with two enormous canals which feed the nib, this produces extremely wet and flexible wide writing, both in fast or slow writing mode. The pen comes with its original companion a twist on/off mechanical pencil, also perfectly preserved and functional.
