A rare highest quality pen set by Quill USA. Quill Pens was founded in Rhode Island in 1945. These pens ware manufactured at the peak of the company’s operations, early to mid 1980s. The company made every effort to revive US production of high quality fountain pens and did not save any money on materials or build quality. Unfortunately the company closed down few years ago, but they left behind an amazing legacy of fine writing instruments made in US. The set consist of a rollerball and ballpoint pen and a rare size 0.9mm mechanical pencil. The rollerball pen is identical in size and form to their flagship fountain pen at the time, thus the front nib section is interchangeable with this pen also. The pens follow a simple yet elegant design and form factor, but are made out of the highest quality materials, meant to last for decades. Solid steel base overlaid with thick 18k gold plate. They use standard refills, two additional rollerball refills are included with the rollerball, and a new refill with the ballpoint, as well as 8 0.9mm leads for the mechanical pencil. The pens are in NOS never used condition, come in their original presentation box.
