Condition and information:
This is the original first production 80s Noblesse model, a stunning solid steel pen with unique finish, anodized black-grey, giving the pen a unique appeal.
However some consider this line of Noblesse as second generation, as there was one Noblesse before this line produced only for a year, in early 1980, which is nearly identical to this pen.

and Montblanc wanted to get into that market as well. The Noblesse Oblige Slim Line was that product, and it turned out to be the most reliable and durable Montblanc pens ever build. Due to its weight and size it has a superb grip, perfect form factor, length thus providing effortless writing experience. These are so well built, they are true generational pens, they are meant to last.
 
Since the pen is made entirely out of steel, it's nearly impossible to damage it even if dropped. The pen features the distinct Noblesse "click" sound when closing the cap and even when posting it on top, a perfect fit cap on the body. Montblanc star logos are located on top of the cap and barrel. These are also one of the biggest Montblanc pens at almost 140mm, slim and elongated.
 
The nib on this pen is a special feature, a rarely originally fitted OBB, very nice, feels soft even though it is a thick nib made out of steel and gold plated. This nib will produce some amazing writing, variable line thickness on every stroke, but also by simply rotating the grip and holding angle, it will change the thickness and wetness of the line. This nib has even some flex to it, and feels very nice on the paper. The pen can take any size cartridge, standard or double, or a piston converter, and most conveniently it uses standard international.
 
Very diverse and trouble free fountain pen, super easy to clean, maintain and bring to trips as a travel pen, bringing everything from a true fountain pen to a modern and busy lifestyle pen, an amazing writing instrument. The pen is in mint NOS condition, still with its nib sticker on the body, no dings or scratches, it has some minor gold wear off on the nib, but its not compromising and this is normal occurance on these gold plated steel nib.
The name comes from French: Noblesse Oblige - "Nobility Obliges".
