Condition and information:
One of the iconic Montblanc's ballpoint pens, with the unique lever on/off mechanism. The build quality is superb, materials are best there are. This highly processed plastic unlike other plastics its difficult to crack. It's very thick but also has some elasticity so its difficult to crack or chip even if dropped. The brushed finish does not show fingertips, dust or finger oil thus the pen always stay clean. The pen features the unique, Montblanc patented lever mechanism, at the time marketed as the "11th finger" system, meant to turn the pen off automatically when hanged into a pocket. The lever can be activated with the finger simply by pushing it, however the lever also passes under the clip, thus when hanged into a pocket, the fabric passing under the clip will automatically turn the pen off. Very convenient feature especially for doctors who find hard time to avoid ink stains on their white coats pockets. Mechanism functions perfectly with nice clicks sound for on or off. Thick gold plated metal trims give the pen unique appeal with the dark grey/black body. Large Montblanc star located on top of the pen. The pen is in absolute mint near NOS condition with no signs of use.
