These pens are the so called "second generation" modern Montblanc pens. Made in the early 1970's these pens embody everything the Montblanc stands for, stunning timeless design and amazing performance. The pens are made out of Precious Black Resin which gives the pen a unique shine and gloss but also a scratch protection. The nib is oversize fully "naked nib", the entire nib is visible and outside the pen. This allows for very easy maintenance, cleaning and makes it harder for ink to coagulate/dry around the nib. The nib is super precise F size, great for small typeface writing such as in pocket notebooks, or where precision is needed. The piston is smooth and takes a considerable amount of ink. The pencil has a solid steel and brass mechanism, very heavy with a perfect grip, feel and balance in the hand, very precise push button mechanism with distinct "click" sound when deploying. 1.18mm lead refills are still very much in production today, so easily available; the pencil comes with 8 refills included. Such thick refills can be deployed 3-5 mm in front of the tip, giving a great viewing space and precision drawing or writing. The set is in absolute new old stock, never used condition, still with nib size sticker, and comes in its original vintage box. Signature Montblanc star located on both turning knob and cap on the FP and push button on the MP. A perfect Montblanc pen set with timeless design and amazing performance.
