Condition and information:
One of the most famous Pelikan pens, the MK10. This was one of the first pens to be leak proof in variable pressure environments, such as high altitude and airplanes. The front section has quite elaborate feeding system, and the cap does not have a breathing hole, thus when the pen is closed the nib is closed off, thus preventing ink leaks of any sort. These are one of the most reliable and elegant Pelikan pens ever made. Extremely well build, meant to last and endure hard work for decades. The gold plated steel nib is hard to bend even in accidentally dropped; it is very good for long demanding and precise work on any paper. The nib is perfect for notebook writing, where small precise letters and writing is needed, no excess ink as the pen is not wet, writes constant EF size very fine line. As opposed to the arrow shaped nibs on some of these MK models, this semi-hooded nibs have a soft feeling to them, so they don't feel stiff even when the tines do not separate; quite amazing writing feeling. This is a pen for everyday use that does not require special maintenance and will always work reliably. Clear see through purple ink window, and smooth piston; one of the most elaborate piston systems invented by Pelikan, consisting of 8 parts, with a silicone cork. Logo located on top of the cap. The pen is made out of black resin, this material always shines and it's also scratch protective. The pen has a great form factor, stunning design which still looks modern decades after it was made. Slip on cap for fast deployment and ease of use. One of the greatest everyday workhorse Pelikan fountain pens. The pen is in absolute mint never used condition, in its original box, perfectly preserved.
