Condition and information:
This pen is the product of the collaboration of two Swiss companies, Wenger, known for its Swiss Army knifes and Caran d'Ache. This pen is a part from the Red & Black SWISS SIGNATURE Collection made in early and mid 2000's. The materials used are those Wenger uses for its high endurance products, such the light but high strength aluminum. The design is made by Caran d'Ache. The manufactures official statement from a catalog describes this pen as:
"Hard lacquer coating is resilient enough to be impact-resistant. The black electrostatically coated epoxy resin is highly impact and scratch resistant. Buttons, pen cap and case rings are made of polished German silver, or polished brass with gold plating. The fountain pen is fitted with plastic feed, specially adapted for use with even very corrosive inks. The stainless steel nib, contains an iridium alloy to provide optimum wear resistance and durability".
The pen is in great condition, barely used with minimal to no sings of use. It has no dings, scratches or cracks. The fountain pen can be fitted with any standard ink cartridge or a piston converter. Extremely tough build pen, meant to last in any line of work.
