Condition and information:
An extremely rare pen, made by Moster-Penkala, factory based and founded in Zagreb Croatia by Edmund Moster and Eduard Penkala in 1911. Moster later opened 2 more plants, one in Berlin Germany where this pen seems to be made. They made some astonishing pens and pencils, and Moster had developed 3 patents for writing instruments. It is unclear where the pen had been made, most likely in the newly opened plant in Germany in 1933 since its instructions are in german, and it also bares the model Berlin SW68. However on the box there is another model No.930 and EF which stands for the nib size. It is a rare for the time compact and with unusual form factor, nearly flat captop and turning knob. It feels sturdy with a great build quality, two band rings for cap crack protection. The best feature is a super soft fully flexible nib, rated EF size; it will write any larger size with the gentlest push. The tines easily come apart as far as 2mm. The pen is made out of highly polished/finished hard rubber, so cracks are unlikely. It features a smooth and perfectly operating push button, with a newly installed sac. Even though compact the pen is thick and feels great in the hand. When posted it feels as any other normal sized pen, with perfect length, a good grip and feel in the hand. Extremely well built and a truly rare pen, in a NOS never used condition, a true time capsule pen preserved for over 80 years.
