Condition and information:
The all time flagship Pelikan pen, the 100 model, here in the most classic looking 100N all black model. The pen is in mint condition, minimal signs of use scarcely found in this condition. No cracks, no scratches, shines as new. We have fitted the pen with new silicone cork so the piston operation will work flawlessly for decades. This pen is manufactured in 1938 or 1939, as one of the first to use the new art deco style logo. The markings on the cap are the characteristic for the year, "Pelikan D.R.P. Pelikan D.R.P." The cap still has its logo and name green filling, which is extremely rare as this filling usually wares out. One of the best features of this pen is its nib. These nibs are considered one of the best performers, and are valued far more then the later models. The nib is large, elongated with two holes, F (fine) but fully flexible. This is one of the first years of Pelikan producing their own nibs, called the golden age of nibs. This sort of nib produces one of the best writing, it can mimic almost any nib size because it changes thickness of the lines with the pressure you apply. The writing is unique that varies from very thin lines to extremely wide lines, it can express your emotions while writing. The nib is suspended over the original 3 radiator slits feed made out of ebonite. This feed has a very large ink canal allowing for constant ink flow, making the nib quite wet.
