Pelikan 455 Ballpoint

This is a rare ballpoint Pelikan pen, one of the first Pelikan ballpoints in fact. It was made in the late 1950s, starting with 1959 to 1963, to complement the 400NN tortoise brown fountain pens and pencils. The pen has nearly identical form factor and shape as its counterpart the Pelikan 450 mechanical pencil, but it is simplified and streamlined. Very clean shape where from follows function. It uses the standard international slim refills, readily available. The pen is in mint condition with minimal signs of use, perfectly preserved and functional. Nice tortoise brown sell upper body, brown front section and thick gold filled trimmings. Comes with new refill installed.
