Condition and information:
Montblanc's flagship and probably one of the most beautiful ballpoint pens of 1960s. The quality is unique, materials are best there are. This is a high end model of the than famous 26/28 and other models, but this one is made with a solid steel upper body, thus the designation "S" for Steel or Stehlen in German. The pen's lower body is made out of Montblancs signature material - Precious Black Resin, which always shines like new. All trimmings are gold plated. The pen features the amazing, Montblanc patented lever mechanism, at the time marketed as the "11th finger" system, meant to turn the pen off automatically when hanged into a pocket. The lever can be activated with the finger simply by pushing it up, however the lever also passes under the clip, thus when hanged into a pocket, the fabric passing under the clip will automatically turn off the pen. Very convenient feature especially for doctors who find hard time to avoid ink stains on their white coat pockets. The pen comes with its original Montblanc Giant Refill 700P, which is still perfectly operational. A truly amazing pen with amazing peace of history, and still hard to match by any standard. The pen is in mint condition with minimal signs of use and comes in its original presentation box.
