Condition and information:
One of the best pen lines made by Pelikan, the next level up from the MK and PK lines, the Silvexa, made in the late 1960's and 1970's. The pens are a sub-model of the Silvexa 20 & 21 lines, the M21 line, with black resin bodies and stainless steel brushed cap and upper body, silver plated. The Silvexa pens are renowned for their reliability and build quality. The Silvexa line together with the rolled gold lines were the high-end pens of all M, MK and P series Pelikan pens, which were launched in the early 60's as a new modern, space era inspired pens. The fountain pen features a rare but very nice and precise HEF nib 14K white gold nib, so it fits the color theme of the silver plated cap. The HEF stands for Hard Extra Fine, where the nib is stiff, great for carbon copies and almost no standard hand pressure can bend or damage it. This is also great for clean and precise writing, such as notebook writing with a small typeface or for beginners. It has a constant ink flow with no excess ink, very clean pen to write with. Another rare feature of this pen is that is a cartridge filling pen unlike its siblings the piston fillers. Thus it's more convenient to use, fill and maintain, the whole pen is easily disassemblable. The ballpoint pen is "push upper body" with a precise refill deployment, very thought pen, very heavy with great feel in the hand. Same goes for the fountain pen, especially when the cap is posted (placed on top of the pen), since its heavy it makes the pen very easily to write with, with a great balance and feel. Both pens have the logo inlay located on the top. Fountain pen features a clear see through ink purple window. Both pens are in mint condition, near NOS, perfectly preserved and come in their original presentation box. High-quality pens, great appeal, one of the best everyday reliable Pelikan pens.
