The Imperial in gold filled overlay is probably one of the best looking vintage Sheaffer pens. The pen features a stunning hand made grapes and leaves engraving, with deep lines and texture. Made out of solid metal base, with a thick 12K gold fill overlay makes for a very heavy pen, providing great feel in the hand, with superb balance and handling. Unlike gold plating the gold filling will not fade or chip away, it will shine as new as the day it was made. This pen features a unconventional Sheaffer patented on/off mechanism, where simply by pressing the clip down the pen turns on, and pressing the white dot on the top of the clip turns the pen off; a really simple yet unique and easy way to trigger the pen on or off. This also means the pen cannot be hanged into a pocket unless its turned off, thus preventing stains on your pocket. This Imperial also features a spring loaded clip, which will hold firmly and securely over any pocket fabric. The pen uses standard Sheaffer refills, a new one is provided with the pen. The pen is in mint condition with minimal signs of use. Comes in its original presentation box.
