Condition and information:
This is the 1997 original M600 Souveran fountain pen, also known as the "Old Style" because it soon changes to a new design with two rings on the turning knob. The pen was launched after the discontinuation of the old M400 series, and its the basis for all M series after this one, almost all M series pens have these features. The pen is truly stunning, with double rings on the cap, as well as a ring on the turning knob and even on the section. Besides the stunning looks, these rings prevent cracks even if the pen is dropped. Compact in length when closed, but very long when posted and a very thick pen that feel just right in the hand. Solid weigh also give the pen a good feel and sturdiness. The pen features a rare B broad nib. The nib will produce amazing writing, simply by twisting the pen a bit in the hand while writing the line thickness will change to even EF extra fine. The nib has some small flexibility and if press gently while writing it will write double broad BB. Very smooth piston and large ink capacity. Very colorful high gloss see through tortoise shell green body, crisp imprints and thick gold filled trimmings. Logo located on top. Very smooth on the paper, perfect writer, great feel in the hand and superb grip, perfectly balanced pen posted or not. The pen is in mint condition, NOS new old stock, never used. One of the best Pelikan pens ever made.
