Offered here is one of the rarest pens of the MK line, the M480, green and black which was made for a short period, and only for export, in the early 1970s.

The MK line is one of the most successful Pelikan pens. The MKs were one of the first pens to be leak proof in variable pressure environments, such as high altitude and airplanes. The front section has quite an elaborate feeding system as well as the sealing cap which prevents ink leaks of any sort. These are one of the most reliable and elegant Pelikan pens ever made. Extremely well built, meant to last and endure hard work for decades. The gold plated steel nib will never bend in accidental drops, it is stiff, very good for long or precise work with a constant line.

The nib is perfect for notebook writing, where a small precise typeface is needed, no excess ink as the pen writes constant fine lines. This is a pen for everyday use that does not require special maintenance and will always work reliably. Clear see through green ink window, and smooth piston; one of the best piston systems invented by Pelikan, consisting of 8 parts, with a silicone cork which never leaks. Logo located on top of the clip.

The pen has a stunning vintage appeal with a green and black color combination. The pen has a great form factor, design which still looks modern decades after it was made. Slip on cap for fast deployment and ease of use. One of the greatest everyday workhorse Pelikan fountain pens.
