A very rare Reform fountain pen made in Germany. The pen has a unique design, a rarely seen and used black to dark grey brushed makrolon body and cap, similar to the Lamy 2000 pen. Since Reform did not put model numbers on the pens themselves, rather they use to put stickers with the model numbers on the barrels, we don't know the exact model number of this pen since the stickers had been taken off. It is very similar to the No.4328 round model, in both size and form factor except this one is a cartridge filling pen. The pen features a very special KEF (kugel extra fine) nib which is also soft. This is a ball like nib tip that allows for easy and smooth writing on any paper and non-scratching nib at greater writing angles and any odd strokes. While most fountain pens can be held only at a specific angle range, with this pen that angle range is greatly increased, meaning it can write at a very low or high angle in respect to the plain/paper. This feature is very useful for people who need to deploy the pen very fast without looking down at the paper and the way they hold the pen, i.e. journalists. Besides the KEF point, the nib is also soft and flexible. It will write all sizes up to B broad and even wider when pressed gently while writing. This will produce a perfect wide and thin lines on each letter and stroke as only these vintage fountain pens can. The pen is very simple and easy to use and fill, it can take any size standard international cartridge or a standard piston converter. It is also very easy to clean and maintain, completely easily disassemblable, including front section, feed and nib. The body has that true vintage look. It is ergonomic, easy to open and post. The pen is in mint condition with no scratches, dents or any other functional or cosmetic marks. A perfect everyday, trouble-free, high quality pen.
