Eversharp Doric pens must be one of the most beautiful pens ever made, period. Art Deco inspired, these pens are considered the embodiment of that art period. The Doric pens are also a pinnacle of fountain pen engineering, here at UberPens we are always amazed about the quality and precision manufacturing of these pens, the attention to the smallest detail and the utmost perfection to which they are made. We go that far as to argue if Eversharp Doric may be truly the best pen of all time, among any brand, and era. The pens are 12 sided with deep blue sapphire shell, near mirror finish, and complicated and delicate pattern. It is difficult even to imagine how such pattern was made in the early -mid 1930's. The fountain pen is lever filler which is much more convenient to use, unlike the plunger filler which requires much more maintenance. The pen has been fitted with new sac, same as the original one and fills and performs as new. The pen also features a unique amber color ink window, which is placed conveniently bellow the sac, a section between the grip and the barrel joint, so only handful of bladder fillers have this option and Eversharp did it first. The nib is huge, manifold nib, perfect EF to F size, smooth on the paper as the day it was made. Large breathing hole together with the ebonite feed with wide ink canal ensures smooth and constant ink flow. Both pens are in perfect cosmetic and functional condition, minimal signs of use, nearly impossible to find in such amazing condition, and come in their original presentation box.
