Made in the mid to late 60s, 1965-1969, this is one of the first Montblanc Pix pencils made out of the signature Montblanc material, the precious black resin. The resin is specially tempered and it gives the pen a unique shiny gloss but at the same time it offers tough protection, as this material is hard to scratch or damage. Pens made out of black resin will always shine like new and are highly reflective.
The model of this pencil is based on the 26 model, however, this is a different more rare sub-model bearing the number 36. The pencil features crisp imprints that read “Montblanc-Pix No 36”, located on the midsection band.  The iconic Montblanc emblem, the white star snow mountain top stands proudly located on top of the push button.

The pencil uses a flawless, extremely precise push-button repeater mechanism. The push-button mechanism produces a distinct "click" sound when activated, and has very precise clicks and lead deployment. The mechanism has an amazing build quality and is entirely made out of brass and steel, made to last for decades.

The pencil has a modern, ergonomic design with an elongated body which contributes for a great feel in the hand. It has a great balance due to its substantial weight thanks to the solid steel and brass mechanism.
The pencil uses 1,18mm high-quality leads which are long-lasting and durable, several leads are included when you purchase the pencil.
The reservoir can take up to 15 1.18mm leads, and with a lead of this diameter it could be extended as much as 3-4mm in front of the tip, thus it will provide a great viewing space. This pencil is simply one of the best pencils ever made by Montblanc and its quality is still hard to match today.
