After the successful 88 model the Aurora company decided that it was time for a new cartridge filling variant of the model, so that’s how the new 888 model was born. The 888 model kept many of the physical characteristics of the previous model except it had to go through some changes and the top of the barrel was given a truncated cone shape because this model wouldn’t feature a filler knob. The 888 model came in two versions but like many other beauties it wasn’t much appreciated at its own time because that was the era when the ballpoint pens were taking the stage over (luckily we get to appreciate it’s beauty now).

Pen here is the Aurora 888 2cartK fountain pen with a beautiful design which looks good from any angle.
The cap has a gorgeous lined guilloche design and it is finished with a beautiful lacquered cap jewel.
The clip is decorated with a nice black teardrop like insert. 
The pen features a slip on cap which attaches all the way down to the ring which provides for more room and better grip without sharp points to interfere while the user is holding the pen.

The pen is fitted with an EF extra fine 14K 585 gold nib and besides the EF point, the nib is very flexible and it will write bigger sizes with the slightest pressure while writing, such as F fine, M medium. Such nibs produce amazing writing with various line thickness, which is what fountain pens are best at.
The pen features a Duo-cart cartridge filling system which can store two cartridges at a time. Two cartridges come with the pen and you can refill them with a syringe when depleted. The pen is a good writer gliding effortlessly on the paper.

The pen comes in a mint condition with some visible signs of usage.
