Condition and information:
One of the most beautiful and reliable Pelikan pens of the early 60s the original Rolled Gold line, Type 1, also sometimes sold under the mark M30 or just 30. The M30 rolled gold line is a class up from the MK10/MK20 lines, these were considered one of the best at the time, made out of more refined materials such as the black resin and also featured a solid gold nib. (Some of these pens in the 60-70s bore PK30 insignia on the rings, but those were made for export only, and are identical to these pens). The pen is stunning, both in look, appeal and quality. The one offered here is in near NOS condition, still with its original nib size sticker on the body. These are one of the most reliable and elegant Pelikan pens, extremely well build, meant to last and endure hard work for years. The pen has a very beautiful clear see through purple ink window and a smooth piston. This is one of the best nibs we've seen on a Pelikan pen. Unlike most semi-hooded Pelikan nibs with this form factor which usually lack flexibility, this nib has full flexibility. Hence it will produce some amazing writing, all the way from F up to BB. Piston is one of the best piston systems invented by Pelikan, consisting of 8 parts and marketed by Pelikan as Airplane safe is it won't leak ink on pressure variations. This pen is very reliable, works and writes perfectly. All in all, one of the best Pelikan pens of its era.

Superb!
Review by Aaditya on 1/10/2024The pen I received was not only beautiful to look at and in splendid condition on the outside, it wrote like butter. The rolled gold nib is just flexible enough to make it absolutely fun to write with. The feed is also at the right wetness so there's no problem with getting neither too much or too little ink on paper. Couldn't have been happier.
