A Diplomat Attache pen made in the late 1980's, with a stunning black lacquer finish. This model was designed to rival the Montblanc Noblesse Oblige pens with a modern form factor and fast slip on/off cap. The pen is a superb build quality, solid stainless steel, very heavy and with a perfect manufacturing precision. The pen features a stunning black lacquer finish which is a perfect scratch protective cover and a unique shine and appeal. All trimmings are thick gold plate. The pen is very heavy, with a great grip, feel and balance, which makes for a wonderful writing experience. "Diplomat Germany" inscribed at the top of the gold plated clip. The unique large surface flat-top cap can make the pen stand firmly vertically at the desk. The nib is solid steel, two tone finished gold plate, very smooth M size nib, writes perfectly without scratching the paper. The pen is in absolute mint condition, no scratches, dings or anything of the kind, simply never used, perfectly preserved. A truly beautiful and unique writing instrument.
