This is the original first series 80's steel matte black Montblanc Noblesse Oblige fountain pen, in two tones. The Noblesse series are one of the most reliable pens ever build by Montblanc, and also among all pen makers. They are renowned for their reliability, simplicity of use, build quality, and many other factors that make for a perfect fountain pen. The pen is made out of thick, high grade brushed stainless steel, with perfect grip, size, form factor, weight and length. These are so well build, they are a true generational pens, as they are meant to last, and since this pen is entirely made out of thick steel, it's virtually impossible to damage, ding, scratch or break, even if dropped. The pen has the distinct "click" sound when closing the cap, a true precision manufacturing. Montblanc stars logos are located on top and bottom. These are one of the biggest Montblanc pens at almost 140mm and 160mm posted (with the cap on the back). The nib is extremely precise writer, EF size extra fine, very smooth on the paper and very easy writer, glides on the paper. It is perfect for writing in notebooks, cards, letters or any other job. The pen can use any standard cartridge, or a piston converter, so its very easy to fill, use and clean. The pen is NOS, New Old Stock, never used condition. The name comes from French: Noblesse Oblige - "Nobility Obliges".
